Alessio “Frusta” Cannistraro nasce nel 1991 e inizia gli studi di batteria con Marco Parenti all’età di 11 anni, successivamente entra alla NAM di Milano dove studia con Tullio de Piscopo concludendo il percorso didattico di batteria, armonia e arrangiamento nel 2010.

Milita in diverse band partecipando a grandi eventi come il Rho Alive 2010 e l’evento di presentazione del film “Io, loro e Lara” di Carlo Verdone. 

Con i Vulcanica Percussionisti per 5 anni fa esperienze teatrali e televisive in Rai e Mediaset, tour in tutta Italia. Tour Lottomatica, Tour Timberland e il Viscera Tour di 6 mesi ad Antalya, Turchia.

L’attività in studio spazia dalla propria band Bang Bang Vegas, insieme a Thomas Festa (Laura Pausini, Gianna Nannini) e si estende a collaborazioni come session man per artisti come Alteria, Dulcamara, Aleko Carola, Gil & the Electric Vampires e molti altri progetti tra cui 2 dischi personali “Pen Siero” e “Fortress” , scritti, arrangiati, registrati e prodotti come poli-strumentista.

Alcune tracce tratte da Fortress sono state usate come soundtrack di Caccia e Pesca, canale 888 di SKY.

Nel 2022 firma come artist per la Tamburo ed è il batterista di: Bang Bang Vegas e Paul Audia

Esce il 19/5/23 il nuovo singolo di Alteria “Cuore Gelido” di cui è autore della parte musicale

Alessio “Frusta” Cannistraro was born in 1991 and began his drum studies with Marco Parenti at the age of 11. He later joined the NAM in Milan, where he studied under Tullio de Piscopo, completing his educational journey in drums, harmony, and arrangement in 2010.

He has played in various bands and participated in significant events such as Rho Alive 2010 and the presentation of Carlo Verdone’s movie “Io, loro e Lara.”

For five years, he was a member of Vulcanica Percussionisti, gaining theatrical and television experience on Rai and Mediaset. He toured extensively throughout Italy, including the Lottomatica Tour, Timberland Tour, and a six-month Viscera Tour in Antalya, Turkey.

Alessio’s studio work encompasses his own band, Bang Bang Vegas, formed in collaboration with Thomas Festa (Laura Pausini, Gianna Nannini), as well as session work for artists such as Alteria, Dulcamara, Aleko Carola, Gil & the Electric Vampires, and many other projects. He has also released two personal albums, “Pen Siero” and “Fortress“, which he wrote, arranged, recorded, and produced as a multi-instrumentalist.

Several tracks from “Fortress” were used as soundtracks for Caccia e Pesca, channel 888 on SKY.

In 2022, he signed as an artist with Tamburo and currently serves as the drummer for Bang Bang Vegas and Paul Audia.

On May 19, 2023, Alteria released her new single “Cuore Gelido,” for which Alessio is credited as the composer of the musical portion.
